What sizes do you carry?

Bridal sizes 8 to 28, which is street sizes 4 to 24. Unfortunately, if you wear a street size 2 or below, our dresses will be too big for you and won’t work.

Do you carry plus-size wedding dresses?

Yes. We carry up to bridal size 28 (street size 24), and recent arrivals have included bridal sizes 20, 22W and 24. Inventory changes weekly, so check our Pinterest board for your size before you book.

Which wedding dress designers do you carry?

Maggie Sottero, Sottero and Midgley, Allure, Jasmine, Justin Alexander, Eddy K and Demetrios, among others. Because we sell samples, the designers on the rack change from week to week.

How does buying a sample dress work?

We only sell sample gowns from other bridal stores, right off the rack, so there’s no ordering wait. Boutiques buy sample dresses each season to showcase in store, and we bring those samples to Stratford. They may have been tried on, but none of our gowns have been worn or altered. Fall in love, pay, and take your wedding dress home that day.

How do I see what’s currently in stock?

Our Pinterest board is the only place to see everything we have in stock today. It is updated as new gowns arrive and others sell, so browse it before your appointment and bring pictures of the gowns you’d like to try on. Our In-Stock Gowns page shows recent arrivals only.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. We see brides by appointment only, and appointments open one month in advance. Every appointment is a private shopping experience: the bride is the only one in the store.

How long is a bridal appointment?

Appointments run 90 minutes, with only one bride in the boutique at a time.

How many guests can I bring?

Up to five guests. The viewing area for guests is a limited amount of space, so five is the maximum.

Can I bring children to my appointment?

Children under 10 are not allowed unless they are able to stay in a carrier.

Can we bring food or drinks?

No. Food and drink, including alcohol, are not allowed in the boutique.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Pictures of the gowns from our Pinterest board that you’d like to try on. It also helps to bring any shapewear you plan to wear under your dress and a strapless bra, plus an open mind and a positive attitude.

Should The Savvy Bride be my first or last stop?

Try to make us your last stop. Our gowns are one of a kind and sold off the rack, so when you fall in love with a dress, you take it home with you. If you aren’t ready to commit, there is a chance it sells while you shop around, and then it’s gone.

How do deposits and payment work?

You can pay the balance in full and take your gown home that day, or put down a 20% deposit and pay the balance within 10 days. The deposit takes your gown off the sales floor. If the balance isn’t paid in full by the end of the 10th day, the dress returns to the sales floor and you forfeit the 20%. All sales are final, no returns.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit cards, Apple Pay and cash. We do not accept checks.

Has The Savvy Bride won any awards?

Yes. The Savvy Bride won The Knot Best of Weddings four times, in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, and is in The Knot Best of Weddings Hall of Fame, earned by winning four or more times.

Do you offer alterations?

We don’t alter gowns in house, but we’re happy to recommend trusted local tailors who work with bridal fabric.

Do you buy, consign, or trade outside gowns?

No, we don’t accept consignment or purchase gowns from outside our own sourcing. Every dress in the boutique comes to us directly from bridal boutiques we work with.
