Meet Erica, founder of The Savvy Bride

The reason every appointment here is unhurried, honest, and just for you.

Erica started The Savvy Bride after her own dress search in 2014.

She’d heard the big Manhattan boutiques were the place to find “the one,” but the appointments felt rushed, crowded, and priced for a different budget than hers. What she found instead, in a small shop in Texas, was something else entirely: one bride in the store at a time, no clock running, no one else’s opinion competing for space in the room.

That was the experience she wanted to bring home to Connecticut.

Today, The Savvy Bride carries sample designer gowns pulled from upscale bridal boutiques across the country. Because they’re samples, styles rotate constantly and prices land up to 50% below retail, with every gown in the store under $1,999. None of the dresses have been worn or altered, just tried on in a showroom.

One bride at a time, on purpose

Erica calls it the wedding closet. No walk-ins, no shared racks, no competing for a mirror.
